What to expect from an Aromatherapy Treatment

The Center of Unified Healing integrated practitioners commence with a consultation process to identify and assess any conditions which are relevant to the treatment.

The quality of the treatment is then enhanced by the skillfull hands of the practitioner who has developed sensitivity and intuition to guide the excellence of the treatment.
The gentle movements are applied with some stretching incorporated to encourage the flow of the invisible 'meridian channels' (energy channels).

The Aromatherist practises her skills according to the condition and chooses to use inhalation methods combined with a prescriptive blend of essential oils, massage and pressure point techniques, or compresses on the skin and may encourage the use of an essential oil blend in a bath preparation. An integration of various other tools may be used to gather the momentum of healing such as the placements of crystal stones enhancing the treatment and resulting in a healing experience.

In addition to this the highest vibration of  pure and unadulterated essential and carrier oils are blended to achieve harmony and balance within the body.

Points to note are the following:

Essential Oils: The method of growth and altitude affects the quality and grade of the essential oil and is often reflected in the price.

An example of an essential oil to be aware of is Melissa officinalisas this is often adulterated. True Melissa is hard to come by and is a very expensive essential oil. Melissa also known as ‘lemon balm’ has a wonderful lemon scent.

It is commonly used when a person is grieving or has a sudden shock, or for insomnia and irritability. The cost can be as much as £36 for 5 ml and even higher prices.
This oil blends well with the essential oil of ‘Rose otto’ and ‘Neroli.’
If you have any of these conditions ask your aromatherapist for information on making a blend for you.

Carrier oils help the essential oils to permeate the skin. When good grade carrier oils are used and are organic the nutrients in the oils are retained and enhance the quality of the skin.
Here are some suggestions.

Sesame oil (Sesamum indicum) is a useful carrier oil containing its own anti – oxidants and vitamin E and is a highly absorbable hydrant for the skin. It has a nutty aroma although it is a seed and is commonly used in vedic medicine.

Peach Kernal Oil (Prunus persica) is a pale yellow to yellow colour oil and is rich in vitamin A
and E.
It has rejuvenating qualities for the skin often used in facials.
· Always purchase 100% pure essential oils
· Quality essential oils will have the botanical name on the bottle as well as the common name.
· Quality essential oils are always sold in dark glass bottles.

The essential oil bottles should state their safety precautions
Essential oils do not keep longer than the “use by date” which should be stated on the bottle and   observed by the aromatherapist and public.
Use high grade carrier oils which have not been adulterated.

Aromatherapy treatments are key to enhancing wellness in the body through the process of olfaction.  We breathe so many toxins in the air and essential oil inhalation blends can purify these toxins and enhance the health.
The energies and vibration of the plant material are carried through into the pure essential oil.  Equally human beings hold their own energetic field and vibrations.  When these energies are out of balance the use of plant extracts in essential oils are therapeutic for various conditions such as the common cold.

Whilst the body’s energies are in a balanced state “wellness” prevails, however, when there is an imbalance disease occurs and this manifests itself as mental or physical pain or both.

This is a unique treatment which uses the exchange of hot and cold temperatures on the body to stimulate the cirulation and aid injury.  The basalt stones are volcanic stones.  The marble stones retain their cool temperature. The therapist learns how to use energy whilst using the application of the stones. Opening and closing circuits prepare the body for a mind, body and spirit experience.

Nature is the strongest element we have on Earth and plant material is also part of nature and widely used in healing.  A choice of essential oils are blended to perfect the treatment.

The use of short term and long term application is chosen to respect the client's well being.

Crystal stones are used for layouts on the chakras to balance whilst stone layouts warm the body.

The stones are smooth and when used well you can hardly realise that it is a stone that is massaging you.  The smoothness slips over the skin to release any tension.  Whilst the intensity of the treatment is in progress the emotions often resolve.

Interestingly the result is invigorating and energising.

Benefits: aids injury, increases circulation, relaxing, invigorating, deeply hamonising
